There is an appealing history to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling hall wagering is not allowed. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent destination, a 3 to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few restrictions constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; however, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 5:00 p.m., and though visas are apparently needed to cross, there are methods around this, as is real of many borders.
